The power of crystals and sound healing combined

Harmonising the mind and body

For centuries, crystals have been prized for their beauty and believed to have healing properties. Most of my initial 3-year healing apprenticeship was based on crystal healing and crystal therapy. I will work crystals into every treatment I can! And more recently, sound healing has gained popularity among those seeking alternative therapies to promote a sense of calm and relaxation. But combining the two practices can create a powerful tool for healing and personal transformation that works for everyone.

Sound healing traditionally uses various techniques, such as the use of singing bowls, drums, rattles, gongs, tuning forks, and chimes, to promote relaxation and clear blockages in the body's energy centres. Crystal healing, on the other hand, uses the unique vibrational frequency of crystals to align and balance the body's energy centres, which can help to alleviate physical, emotional, and mental imbalances.

Combining the two practices can enhance their healing properties and create a profound experience for participants. The sound vibrations create a deep sense of relaxation, which allows the crystals to penetrate the body on a much deeper level. The crystals amplify the sound vibration, creating a powerful synergy between the two.

What is a crystal sound session?

A crystal sound session is a gentle, non-invasive treatment that combines crystals, tuning forks and chimes. The simplicity of the practice makes it accessible to everyone, regardless of age or physical condition. You can have a session seated or lying down. And the fact that it is non-invasive means that there are no side effects, making it a safe and effective way to support overall well-being.

Crystal sound healing promotes relaxation, stress reduction, and over all improved well being and joy in life by harnessing the vibrational energy of crystals on a whole new level.

Finding my flow with sound healing

I discovered this healing after stumbling across a sound bath at a festival many many moons ago. I didn't know what to expect. As most people know I scale pretty high on what is typically called the autistic scale, although I much prefer the phrase "neurodiverse" - ASMR videos, and multiple sounds at the same time can trigger a sound sensitivity in me that is not enjoyable. I was sceptical that the sound bath would be anything more than that - but it looked comfy, the person I was with RAVED about sound baths so I gave it a try.

It turns out the friend I was with was totally right. In the middle of a busy festival, we found a moment of pure calm. With little, to no effort, I was able to drop from my head into my body and experience pure relaxation, without a single plant medicine passing my lips. My mind wandered and it felt wonderful. Locally, we have some incredible healers holding sound baths, they are always part of my own health care. While not the same as a crystal sound session it's something I implore everyone to try at least once. Relax Revive Restore - Clacton and Weeley based - her restoratives are a MUST attend

So me being me, I wanted to know more! How did these gongs and singing bowls create such a feeling of relaxed bliss in the middle of a field? There is more actual science around sound, vibration and things like the vagus nerve than I thought, so down the rabbit hole I went. Learning, being guided by some very amazing teachers and playing. I invested in tuning forks, and a tongue drum and was kindly gifted a set of koshi chimes and got certified as a sound healer. I tested on friends, I spoke with other sound healers and crystal therapists and came up with the sound crystal healing session that I offer today.

How can sound crystal healing help?

This is the bit I am sure you wanted to get to. The soothing vibrations produced by the sound combined with the boosted vibrations from the crystals can help to release physical and emotional blockages and improve the flow of energy within the body. With most complementary therapies this is the aim - because time and time again we get confirmation that when our energy is flowing our overall well-being improves.

"Improved well-being means experiencing a greater sense of fulfillment and happiness, both physically, mentally and emotionally, in all aspects of life".

Commonly reported benefits:

Reduced pain in those with chronic pain

Improved levels of energy

Better vagal tone (relaxed nervous system)

Reduction in headaches

Increased sleep quality, and the ability to fall asleep

More joint mobility due to reduced inflammation

Happier gut and digestive system

Thoughts becoming less negative

During treatment, clients often feel:

Well rested, similar to a full night of sleep

A sense of warmth, occasionally a cool sensation

The sensation of energy moving around, such as a swirling sensation or colours

As a client what do I need to do?

Other than removing your shoes - nothing!

Hopefully, just relax, there's no test at the end!

You do not need to concentrate

If you do not notice any sensations it's fine, it's still working!

How to prepare for a healing session

I only offer sound work as an in-person session. It is important to make time to receive the energy and coming to see me means you have to cut out other distractions. Allow time to prepare for your session, and then some time to rest afterwards.

In preparing you simply need to be warm and comfortable. I am a huge fan of comfy socks for any treatment session. There will be crystal-infused water on hand during the treatment but ensure you have a large bottle of water to hand for afterwards, and it is also nice to have a pad and pen to make notes on how you feel before and after the session.

Ensuring you have time to rest after the session is an important part of learning to receive. Our fast-paced culture tends to disregard the importance of rest and recovery. When you rest after any healing session, your cells have time to process the new frequencies. This could mean that you fall asleep for a short while but, if that does happen, it tells you that your body really needed it! Whether you're dealing with stress, anxiety, chronic pain, or just looking to promote a sense of relaxation and balance, combining crystal and sound healing can be a great way to support yourself in a gentle way

Crystal sound sessions are 60 minutes long and there is a £30 exchange. Drop me an email or reach out on social media if you are drawn to experience this wonderful session
