Guard Your Gold: Protect Your Energy Like It Actually Matters

Let’s just say it straight: you’re not a bottomless well.
You are not a free charging station for other people’s chaos.
You are a walking, breathing collection of gold threads, light, intention, magic, and love. And frankly, some of that needs guarding.
Not because you’re fragile.
Because you’re valuable.

Some things are precious because they’re rare.
Others are precious because they’re yours.
Your time. Your attention. Your thoughts. Your softness. Your creativity.
All of that is gold. Not in some metaphorical, woo-woo way (though we do love a good metaphor). But in a real, practical, soul-level sense.
And if it’s gold, it deserves to be guarded.
Not hoarded. Not hidden. Just held with care.
What it means to protect your energy
There’s a certain peace that comes when you realise you don’t have to explain yourself all the time.
You don’t have to take every call.
You don’t have to rescue, perform, or push through.
You can simply notice where your energy leaks
and begin to patch it up.
Protecting your energy isn’t selfish. It’s maintenance.
And maintenance is what allows you to show up well.
For yourself, and for everything you care about.
Guarding your gold doesn’t mean building walls
There’s a difference between boundaries and barricades.
Guarding your gold means you get to choose where your energy flows, and where it doesn’t.It’s not about withdrawing from the world. It’s about moving through it with intention.
It might look like:
Saying “not today” and meaning it
Turning off notifications and letting your mind exhale
Being in silence because it feels good, not awkward
Letting yourself rest without needing to “deserve” it
The world will always ask for more.
But you get to decide how much is wise, and how much is just noise.
You teach people how to treat you by what you allow, what you stop, and what you reinforce.” —Tony Gask
Worth is power. Not in the bossy, noisy way.
But the kind of power that comes from knowing yourself.
Trusting your rhythm. Saying no with love, and yes with clarity.
It’s the power of staying present with your own needs.
Of leaving space for your own voice to rise before everyone else’s rushes in.
Sometimes, power is choosing not to explain.
Sometimes it’s letting the message wait until tomorrow
A few quiet rituals to help protect your energy
You don’t need much. Just a pause, and a little awareness.
1. Tea with a boundary
Make a cup of tea, and drink it without doing anything else. Not a reward. A reminder. You’re allowed to pause.
2. A light for what matters
Light a candle for the things you want to protect. Your rest. Your voice. Your creativity. Let it burn while you breathe.
3. A simple spell of enough
When you start to feel pulled in too many directions, try whispering:“I am enough. This is enough.”Say it until it feels like it could be true.

You are allowed to be soft and guarded.
Kind and boundaried.
Open and discerning.
There is nothing contradictory about holding both.
Let June be the month you protect what matters.
Let this week be the one where you notice what drains and what nourishes.
Let today be the moment you remember: you are worth the care you so freely offer to others.
Guard your gold. Not because it might disappear,
but because it’s already enough.
